History

Built by highly seasoned mortgage professionals in 1987 in Lincoln, Nebraska, Mortech began as a distributor of front-end loan processing systems. After six years of specializing in consulting mortgage professionals and distributing mortgage technology solutions to the industry, Mortech transformed into a loan processing company.

As a private mortgage banking company, the need for an easier way to supply pricing and product information to organizations became clear. Searching through numerous investors’ information was an excruciating process. As a result, the company’s goal shifted from processing loans, to creating an effective means for loan officers to receive rate data in one place.

In 1998, after several years of diligent development phases and program assessments, SRPcalc was introduced. SPRPcalc quickly turned into America's favorite loan comparison program. It put an end to the cumbersome process of wading through investor rate sheets, manual calculations and data entry into spreadsheets. SRPcalc provided one place for mortgage professionals to gather and view investor pricing. The exclusive system was the first of its kind, saving organizations a substantial amount of time and preventing errors in the daily process of collecting price and rate information.

Two years later, with the progression of the internet, SRPcalc was available in a web based format. Having the software available via the web made it even easier for lenders to get the benefits of instant product and pricing information.

In 2006, with the same expertise and precision of SRPcalc, Marksman was introduced to the market. Marksman included all the same features and functionalities as SRPcalc, but incorporated advanced lead management capabilities and rich product guideline features. Marksman offered a comprehensive set of tools to automate, simplify and manage lender information in a robust format. Marksman has streamlined the procedures for mortgage professionals into an all-in-one solution. To date, it has become one of the most preferred and affordable PPEs available.

LendingTree LLC, the nation’s number one online lending exchange, sought out the expertise of Mortech in 2005. In 2007, the two companies teamed together to deliver the LendingTree network of lenders options for fully outsourced product eligibility and pricing with rich features for lead management and distribution. The unique partnership has allowed lenders to seamlessly convert LendingTree leads into closed loans.

Through many innovative updates, upgrades, and enhancements, Mortech’s principal of providing accurate information to mortgage professionals has remained at its core. While other providers may create product improvements only three or four times a year, Mortech releases free product updates every six weeks, giving customers the needed edge to turn leads into loans. Mortech’s more thoughtful approach to adopting new technology exemplifies our ongoing strategy of focusing on the success of our customers.
