NEW! Mortgage Marketplace
Introducing a new service from Mortech: The Mortgage Marketplace. We’re looking for lenders to join a Beta version of the Mortgage Marketplace. This new service, which is exclusive to Marksman users, is designed to increase your company’s brand and customer base. We have partnered with leading websites that provide real estate listings in order to give consumers real-time rate offers. Quotes are pulled directly from your Marksman account and include rate, fees and other company information. The marketplace is also available on the new Droid Google phone and the iPhone. Contact your account manager today to find out more about the Marksman Marketplace (BETA) and the website partners we have available.
Mortech has Gone Mobile

Get in touch with potential customers directly from their mobile device with Mortech’s new iPhone and Droid mobile rate applications.
The “Mortgage Marketplace” mobile applications, which are powered by TheMorty.com (Mortech’s new real estate and mortgage website which is under construction), puts lenders at the fingertips of potential homebuyers. Consumers simply enter their loan criteria and view up to four loan offers with lender contact information. Real-time rate quotes are pulled directly from your Marksman account in a side-by-side fashion. Contact your account manager today to be added to these new mobile applications.

Coming Soon: TheMorty.com

Some of the planned features include a FSBO listing service, a real-time rate look-up, which gives up-to-the-minute mortgage rates and loan offers, a ‘Find a Service Provider’ feature for borrowers and a Marksman-Service Provider integration piece which will make the GFE sending process easier for lenders. Be sure to check back with us on the status of the new website.

RESPA & HUD
Currently, big changes in the way lenders handle GFE’s are going into effect. Companies will now be held liable for any inaccurate information presented on the newly-mandated GFE’s. A few of these new standards include lenders requiring to issue a GFE within three days after receiving the initial borrower’s loan application and when “changed circumstances” occur, a modified GFE must be issued within three days.
Nervous about complying with these or any other new GFE standards?
Don’t worry, Mortech is here to help. Contact your Account Manager today to learn how you can start sending RESPA approved GFE’s from your Marksman account.
Mortech Power Shops for CEDARS Home
Every year CEDARS Home for Children Foundation hosts a holiday gift drive for underprivileged children. This holiday season, Mortech employees went on a donation-happy shopping spree. Six shopping carts and one mini-van full of toys later, Mortech totaled over $3,000 in gifts for the drive- more than doubling last year’s donation.

Jon Feauto, Ryan Cameron, Travis Eckhardt and Troy Ray pose at
Wal-Mart with their shopping carts full of toys.

TOM ERICKSON
Tom Erickson graduated from Kearney State College (now known as UNK) in 1978, graduating before the majority of his co-workers were born. Since graduating with his degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting, Tom has accumulated 30 years experience in the mortgage banking business. Through the years he has worked a variety of jobs under the mortgage umbrella, including a loan officer, a branch manager and even a part owner of a mortgage company.
Since Tom was hired in October 2007 as the Customer Support Manager/Product Specialist, he has been responsible for overseeing the customer support department, account managers, customer training and determining the efficiency/usefulness of possible enhancements to Marksman. Although his knowledge runs deep in mortgage banking, Tom doesn’t claim to be any sort of guru when it comes to the technical side of business. In fact, he considers himself an “ungeek” about computers and sticks to the theoretical side of things.
But Tom’s not just about theorizing about enhancements to Marksman; he also does his fair share of hypothesizing about Husker sports in between spending time with his teenage son, Taylor.
