Employee Profile

DAVID HUMM

David is a 2007 graduate from Creighton University (the ONLY Creighton graduate here at Mortech). At Creighton he majored in Economics in addition to being the CFO of the Gay-Straight Alliance, CFO of the Native American Association, Director of the Safe Space Project and a Nebraska AIDS Project volunteer.

Before coming to Mortech in the beginning of 2008, David worked as an intern for the Creighton Multicultural Affairs Office where he helped plan cultural events such as speakers, art exhibits and dance exhibitions on and off the school’s campus. He has also worked in his fair share of restaurants as a server which has sparked a passion for trying new restaurants and foods.

After indulging in some public radio and the latest lady Gaga song during his 60-mile daily venture to work in his ice-salt-covered car (a.k.a. Ol’ Salty), David arrives to Mortech as a Customer Support Specialist and member of the Data Analytics program. As a Customer Support Specialist, he is responsible for helping customers use Mortech’s products effectively by taking phone calls, responding to trouble tickets and emails, in addition to coordinating the training for new clients. As a member of the Data Analytics program, he tracks user activity on product websites and analyzes ways to make the sites more effective and efficient for customers.

As far as what lies ahead, David plans on going to grad school sometime in the near future and is looking forward to being a part of Mortech’s growth- especially when Mortech goes global! He’d be thrilled to live and work outside the U.S. and eventually be the V.P. of Global Operations for Mortech (hey, we all have pipe dreams, right?) Despite his knowledge of the industry and access to information, he plans on renting for the rest of his life because of the flexibility.
