Mandatory Pricing Now Available
Mandatory pricing is now available in Marksman for Bank of America, Citi Mortgagee and GMAC. Mortech users can select this pricing option on the ‘Delivery Type’ drop down box listed on the ‘Rates’ page. Marksman administrators can also choose to allow loan officers to only select the Best Effort pricing for the delivery type (loan officers will be viewing mandatory pricing under the best effort pricing selection). These new investors’ mandatory pricing options are available in addition to Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae mandatory pricing that has already been available on Marksman.

HARP LTV Could Go Higher
MortgageOrb.com

Federal Housing Finance Agency Director James B. Lockhart hinted last week that loan-to-value (LTV) requirements of the refinancing arm of President Obama's Making Home Affordable plan may be increased. Currently, the plan allows refinances for mortgages with LTVs up to 105%. The regulator is "actively considering how to structure a program that makes sense over 105 percent," Lockhart said at a conference for real estate editors, according to a Bloomberg News report. No Paws Left Behind
No Paws Left BehindWhen homeowners go into foreclosure often times the ones who are left behind and forgotten are the household pets. Mortech's Doug: Off to Guatemala
Mortech’s own Doug Foral is moving to Guatemala! Actually, he’s not really moving there but he’ll be in Guatemala for two weeks on an adult church mission trip partnered with Students International. On the mission Doug will take part in building a Community Center in the rural town of El Gorrión (a community of residents displaced by Hurricane Mitch). Over 75% of the labor will be built with student and adult volunteers from the United States. One third of the funds have been raised and the project is underway.

Community Center VideoFeel free to check out this link to a video of the project (Community Center Video). If you would like to contribute towards this, 100% of your tax deductible donation goes towards materials to build the community center through Students International.  Kudos to Doug for ‘sweating’ it out for a really great cause.

Employee Profile

RYAN RATHE
THE Customer Support Master

Ryan Rathe is one of the few “lucky” Mortech employees who had the “privilege” to grow up right next door to the founders of Mortech, Don and Judy Kracl. Ryan’s brother Jared worked in sales and the customer support department at Mortech before his older brother Ryan came on board.

Like several of the Mortech employees, Ryan started out as a customer support intern for the company. However, unique to Ryan is that he really took a leadership role in shaping the quality of performance in the customer support department. His meticulous nature and attention to detail has developed and grown Mortech’s customer support department since Ryan’s coming on board in 2004. Not only does he act as a teacher to incoming customer support employees, he also consistently ensures the integrity of the data on all Mortech’s products. Whether he is training new staff members, incorporating industry changes into Mortech’s products, or streamlining and improving daily internal processes, Ryan’s ability to juggle a multitude of responsibilities is obvious.

Born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska Ryan is often called by his last name Rathe. This is to distinguish him from the ‘other Ryan’ in the office. Rathe is also known for his ‘Ratheisms.’ A Ratheism consists of a quirky (sometimes a bit cheesy) joke that Rathe invents himself. Nevertheless, his fun loving and witty sense of humor is really contagious around the office. In addition to creating corny jokes, Ryan enjoys spending time with his kindergartener, Nathanial.

Each month Mortech profiles a different employee in our monthly newsletters. The profiles are intended for our customers to know the individual on the other end of the phone or the ones working behind the scenes.
