Twitter in National Mortgage News
Mortgage companies by the thousands are following the lead of the kids who pioneered social networks like Twitter. They are discovering that, while they don't have to bulletin the world with Twitter's original idea of telling everybody what you are doing at this exact moment, they can create valuable marketing links to their own or affiliated business websites.

Mortech Partnered with New Lead Aggregator
MortgageReport.com is a new, consumer friendly website designed to help educate the consumer and help drive committed, exclusive and eligible leads to the mortgage community. Mortgage Report was created to help consumers make better sense of their current mortgage condition and ability to re-finance by helping them calculate two very important factors that are critical to their ability to do so: DTI and LTV. With the introduction of the Obama administration programs and its new provisions, this website is a valuable resource for helping people answer one crucial question: Can I Re-fi?
Mortgage Report is currently looking for new partners to participate in their network. Whether you’re a national or state specific lender, Mortgage Report is seeking participants to test drive the service - initially at no cost to you. Mortgage Report will eventually be directly integrated with Mortech, allowing potential borrowers to view real-time rates.
If you’re interested in participating in this new network, please contact Patrick Kandianis at 617-630-6102 or pkandianis@mortgagereport.com.

HowsingWire: The Rise of the Machines
HousingWire article By Rick Grant
It’s probably going to be a few years before people tire of trying to assign guilt for the current downturn. The blame has worked its way down from Wall Street to lenders to rest on mortgage brokers, following the traditional trough-of-the-wave route. Then, as the crisis deepened, we watched the finger point back up the chain to New York’s financial district where Mr. Madoff was kind enough to put a cap on the monument to greed. It’s all been very dramatic. And I write that with no intention of minimizing the importance of that discussion or the real need to “do things differently” in the future. Sadly, no amount of additional regulation or oversight is likely to keep something like this from happening again because we don’t program our machines to pay attention to our laws.

... The National Association of Professional Mortgage Women was created in 1967. The organization was first considered in 1964 when nine women with 161 years of combined experience in various fields of mortgage banking met in Seattle, Washington to consider the need for an organization to promote women in the mortgage lending professions. Today the NAPMW boasts over 3,000 individual members and nearly 60 local associations nationwide with the purpose of helping to elevate the educational standards in this industry for both men and women.

"The Hoff"
Jeremy came to Mortech from National Research Corporation where he was an assistant project manager for the Canadian division. Before National Research Corporation, Jeremy attended Malone College in Canton, Ohio and graduated from Central Community College in Hastings, Nebraska where he earned a degree in Information Technology. When Jeremy first started at Mortech, fellow co-workers used to think that he had an imaginary buddy that he would laugh at. After some time and lots of weird looks, they found out that Jeremy simply liked to listen to 'The Bob and Tom Show,' a local morning radio program.
A native of Ashtabula, Ohio, Jeremy enjoys playing several sports including baseball, basketball, weight lifting, golf and is a huge Steelers fan. Jeremy and his wife have three daughters ages 6, 7 and 11.
