Review Release Notes
The October 21 release notes included several new features to Marksman. Users can now view and link to FHA Guidelines for all products and check any pricing errors with a new button that will appear when pricing errors are entered - labeled 'check pricing errors'. Moreover, multiple secondary desk users are now enabled in Lock-in Pro, so several secondary personnel can all stay in contact throughout the origination and closing process. Also, the secondary desk can now see a break-down of the rate information for the locked application with a new 'view lock details' button. These are just a few of the new features that can be found on the release notes. The full listing of other recent additions to both Marksman and Lock-in Pro can be found in the last month’s release notes. Log into your Marksman account and click on the ‘Help’ tab to view the full list of release notes.

New features added to Lock-in Pro
Marksman’s Lock-in Pro is the perfect tool to optimize locking procedures by simplifying the locking process and minimizing errors. In addition to multiple secondary personnel being able to access Lock-in Pro, several other updates have been made to the secondary tool. Other additions include the ability for users to retrieve the complete history of the loan application with comprehensive details, track the progress of the application by getting notified when applications have come through or if applications will soon expire and the ability to ensure the accuracy of applications by seeing a preview of how the lock request application will appear to the loan officer when they submit a lock request from Marksman. Lock-in Pro is constantly being modified to better suit your needs so be sure to stay tuned over the next couple months for other new features.

Did You Know?

…According the U.S. Department of Agriculture, more than 45 million turkeys are cooked and eaten in the United States at Thanksgiving (a feast of approximately 535 million pounds of turkey). That number represents one sixth of all the turkeys sold in the U.S. each year. It’s no wonder the average person consumes 4,500 calories on Thanksgiving Day.

Employee Profile

Travis Eckhardt
Travis began his career at Mortech as a customer support intern during his last year of college at Nebraska Wesleyan University. After graduating in 2008 with a degree in Business Administration/Communication along with earning an athletic letter in baseball and working as a sales intern, Travis became a full-time Account Executive for Mortech. As an Account Executive, he focuses on bringing in new customers and helping them get acclimated to Marksman. He also suggests new ideas and services that help make customers more successful and records feedback and ideas from customers to help develop new enhancements for upcoming releases.

Travis’s passion for his job can not only be seen through an increased client base and improved software enhancements, but also through his will to show up for work on time- no matter what. In fact, on his first day as an intern, Travis went home for lunch and accidentally locked his car keys and cell phone in his house. Because he was so worried people might think he went home with no intent to return, he broke a window to get back into the house so he could get back to work. Now that’s dedication!

On a less embarrassing note, Travis lives with his wife, Samantha, and their yellow lab, Lily. The better part of his summer is spent golfing in a league and various tournaments. When he’s not golfing, he likes to hunt, play basketball and follow college sports- especially North Carolina basketball and Arizona State baseball. He also looks forward to continue to build trusting relationships with his clients and find new ones from states Mortech doesn’t already have a presence in.
