Mortech in the Community
Mortech Helps a Dream Come True
This June, Mortech and others sponsored Lincoln Federal’s Annual Make-a-Wish golf tournament. The fundraising event helped send Cassidy Denney and her family to a place ‘where dreams come true.’ Cassidy Denney was previously suffering from lung cancer but now is in complete remission.

Cassidy
Cassidy’s wish was to visit Walt Disney World and meet Dora the Explorer. “Cassidy couldn't believe it when she actually saw Dora. She knew she was going to meet her but when that moment happened her dream came true.” says Cassidy’s mom, Chris Denney.
Mortech Sponsors Gabe's Gang
Did you know that by 2013 the estimated cost of autism on the nation’s health care industry is expected to grow to somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 to 400 billion dollars every year? In spite of the prevalence of this condition, it receives less than 5% of the research funds allocated to other less common diseases.

Gabe
Mortech is sponsoring a website called Gabe's Gang. The site is designed to not only help the family with the high costs of treatment associated with the disorder, but also to educate the public about autism. Through this website, Mortech is working to make a difference in the life of one child with autism. Please visit the site to learn how you can help.

Each year CEDARS hosts a holiday gift drive. The gift drive benefits children who are not able to spend the holidays at home and provides safe and secure living conditions to children in need. This past Holiday season, Mortech donated nearly $1,500 worth of new clothing and toys to Cedars for children ranging from newborns to teens. More than 700 children benefit from the gifts.

The CEDARS Home for Children Foundation strengthens the community by improving opportunities and life outcomes for children, youth and their families through fundraising and grants in support of the CEDARS Youth Services. CEDARS Youth Services has a rich 60 year tradition of improving the lives of abused, neglected and otherwise vulnerable children and their families. As one of the largest nonprofit child caring organizations in Nebraska, CEDARS is committed to keeping each child safe while helping them to rebuild or find their forever family.
